I recently watched a Super 8 format video of a friend's wedding, recorded in 1969. Although a little grainy and the old Charlie Chaplin jerky style, we all had a great laugh and it was the highlight of an enjoyable barbecue evening with friends. Those 6 minutes of footage confirmed the value of having your very special day recorded on video to give many years of enjoyment.
Although at the time of planning your wedding, the cost could be a factor, a quality video will provide for endless pleasure long after the cake has been eaten, the dress packed away and your guests danced off into the moonlight.
Nearly two thirds of brides who did not have a wedding video later regretted it and 95% of those that did would definitely recommend that others have one. WEVA Survey Having made the decision to have a wedding video, the question could be Professional v ‘Uncle Joe'?? Whilst ‘Uncle Joe' will no doubt do his best for you, does he have years of experience of filming weddings, skill, knowledge, professional equipment and the 40/80 hours of time for editing to give a quality record of the day.
A Professional Videographer will compliment your ‘still photographer' by capturing the feelings and emotions of the day and, with expert editing in your chosen style, will give value and pleasure to lock in those special moments and give you countless memories to be enjoyed by family and friends for many years. Your children and grandchildren can enjoy the same experience that we had from our 6 minutes of Super 8 film.
In the hands of an experienced professional, you will undoubtedly be amazed at the outstanding quality and ambience created through the use of modern cameras and technology coupled with imaginative editing on a state of the art editing suite and will prove to be one of the best investments you make.
I think I would encourage ‘Uncle Joe' to leave his camcorder at home and enjoy the day without the pressure and stress of possible disappointment and leave it in the hands of your chosen professional.
